Gortek is a goblin mercenary with significant magical talent — his last known employer was Remen Hornblower, captain of the Heavy Seas. Gortek is also an acquaintance of Nibil Mongoth, with whom he traveled with for nearly 15 years prior to Nibil’s first disappearance.

After recent events in Horizon, Gortek set out to find Nibil, but only found Nibil’s companions exploring the the ruins of Proudfort. Not knowing where Nibil has disappeared to, Gortek, for the moment, has agreed to join in the search for him.
